Power Moves
Have you ever noticed how we as young adults are always trying to compete with others? Well, I have. I have noticed that no matter what it is that we are doing, we find a way to mention that we are doing it better than everyone else. I always see people saying things like " I'm outchea gettin it while you ain't doin shit" "While you sleep, I grind" "I'm too smart to be clubbing every weekend" "I work 2 jobs and go to school while you ain't doin shit" These are exact quotes from tweets and Facebook statuses. I'm not sure if people understand how they sound when they try so hard to make themselves sound better than other people. It is so unnecessary to point out your accomplishments in that manner. By all means, be proud of the movements you make, but don't be an asshole about it. At the end of the day, there will always be someone else doing the same thing or someone else doing even more. Your life however will always be different than those around you. This is a fact of life; we as humans, although we are built the same each hold our own uniqueness. There is no need to point out the differences in your life and the lives of your peers. Obviously, you are not doing the same thing as the next man. It looks almost insecure in your moves to point out what you're doing every time you make one. You know what you are doing. Nobody else needs to. And nobody else's moves should matter enough that you feel threatened to point out how you are doing better. I mean, after all, it's not that serious. Let your moves speak for themselves.
