Step 3

Step 3 (on the road to success)
This step is simple. Ask yourself the following question: What is my most counterproductive habit? After answering that question, make a pact with yourself to stop doing it.
If you smoke every day but don't get anything done while high, maybe it's time you stop smoking.
If you go out every weekend but your grades aren't too sharp, maybe you should stay in.
If you get drunk four days out of seven and never remember what happened that portion of your week, maybe you should put the bottle down.
If you spend too much of your money on food and clothes, maybe you should cook more and make do with what you already have.
I could go on for days, but I don't think I need to. I'm sure you all catch my drift. If you can take a moment to recall what I said in Step 1 and be honest with yourself long enough to point out what it is you do that is self harmful, despite how much you enjoy it, you can take another moment to tell yourself to stop doing it.
At the end of the day, you are doing this for self. And we will see where the progress leads.
