i dont know how im about to break this down but im going to try my best. people know the terms but dont think about it deeply, therefore they lose meaning. you got to got to take care of your mind soul and body. but first you have to know what it means.
lets start with the body. we all know what the body is. we wake up to it every day, we clean it, we dress it, feed it. the ideal person feeds its body healthy foods, exercises, doesnt smoke, doesnt drink. "your body is a temple of the holy spirit who is in you," says the bible, so as men and women we must watch what goes in and treat it with respect. this goes for sex, we got to respect our bodies sexually and remain clean. our bodies are magnificent works of art and creation. we have different systems, veins that transport blood, organs, all of which work together to create our physical being. we sleep to refuel. the body becomes one with the universe after death.
moving on to the mind. focusing on the psyche that professionals , the lower mind, cuz the higher mind can be one with the soul/spirit. to me, the mind is the most powerful part of the trio. some may argue that the spirit is more powerful, and their arguments are strong and reasonable. but to me, the mind is in control of what happens with the body for the most part, aside from what is going on inside, and the well trained mind is fully aware of their soul and spirit.. the mind is really what makes you you. mentally if you are happy then what happens physically does not really bother you. the mental can determine how much pain you feel; if your mental is strong enough you will have a high pain tolerance. if it is strong enough, nothing anyone else can do will be able to hurt you, physically or emotionally. the mind controls what we see, what we smell, taste, what we feel, and what we think. almost everything that has to do with our senses are experiences controlled by the mind. it is conscious, memory, and imagination. mind is in fact over matter (a quote i will delve into in a later blog post.) the mind is the most powerful organ. we can alter our mindsets with substances that we choose to use consciously (most of the time at least.) we read to strengthen our mind, write to exercise our mind, and do things to entertain it like go to the movies or listen to music. a person can put out examples of their mental ability that will remain in society for years, such as the creation of cars which of course were created by humans. a person can make sure that their mental continues after death if they do things during life to make sure that their legacy continues. the mind is a humans center of control. the mind remains after death in the lessons it left behind. heaven and hell, to me, are mental entities.
now, we move on to the soul(spirit). the higher-mind and the spirit are one in the same. this is the aspect to our personality that scientists and philosophers have been arguing for years. spirit is the god that each of us has instilled inside. it is the holy spirit that the temple which is your body is meant to protect. a soul is what our mental's search to understand but cant quite grasp. a soul is capable to experience a much wider array of different experiences, outer body experiences, near death experiences. a soul is what causes epiphanies. sometimes the soul can take over the mental causing people to remember things that havent happened yet or to experience memories that they cant explain during dreams. deja-vu. to me the spirit is "recycled" after death, and your soul comes back in a different body.
that was a little summary of what i feel about the mind soul and body, and if you want to get into more detail with scientific fact http://www.enlightened-spirituality.org/Body-Mind-Soul-Spirit.html is the link for you. only you can ensure that your mind soul and body are at internal peace so that even if you were to die, you would remain immortal.
